What’s Sexy About Your Name
You are sexy because you are compassionate. You relate to people well.
You are able really feel whatever your partner is feeling. And this makes you an amazing lover.

For you, sex comes after a relationship has reached a certain point. You like to wait a while.
Because of this, you have found yourself celibate for extended periods of time. And that’s okay with you.

You are willing to wait for the right person. You like to watch passion grow.
You take sexuality seriously. You rather be too cautious than do something you’ll later regret.

ohayo

Ohayo mina-san!

i’m writing this post at 3am… i stayed up late watching code blue (jap dorama)… not that interesting pero pwede na rin… yamapi was kakkoii playing as a doctor… it’s a medical drama, by the way… the cast were too virginal-looking… also, they seemed to be only memorizing the script and not putting feelings in their acting… i’m not a good drama critic but i’m just voicing my opinion… oo nga pala, para namang di ako sanay sa jap doramas — ang mga tao nakatulala, mukhang tanga… maybe i was looking for that house md kind of drama that’s why i wasn’t able to appreciate code blue that much… anyway, i’m not finished with it yet so there’s still time for me to change my opinion about it…

speaking of medical churverts, i had my physical exam at the davao doctor’s hospital last friday… i didn’t like it much… it was the first time that a man has touched my boobs… well, dr. mansukhani examined my chest for some cyst or lymphnodes or something… there were 3 of us, he, me and his female secretary. gosh, wasn’t it fun being watched by someone while somebody else was fondling my breasts?!! it was hell… anyway, i’d have to credit the doctor for his professionalism so i wasn’t ‘that’ harassed… he spoke softly and kindly, there was not a tone of malice… i know, it’s all a routine for him… nothing new… i had to wait from 3-8pm and i finally had my turn at about 8:15pm, i was the last one on queue… poor me… i developed gastric ulcer with all the waiting!

after that, i met with corin and we bought gokusen 2 dvd (go pirates!) at times square… bumili na rin ako ng used clothes/ukay2 since it’s kadayawan sale…

the next day, i had to return to the hospital for my chest xray and urinalysis… my log out time from work was at 8am so i headed straight to the laboratory to give my urine sample… i returned at 1pm to meet the radiologist… when i entered the xray room, i realized that the xray tech was my former high school classmate… u could just imagine the horror on my face when he told me to take off my shirt and bra… manang, it was the most awkward thing in the world… binigyan nya ako ng green gown at tinanggal ko ang dapat na tanggalin. it was a bit open sa likod so super concious ako na kita nya mga taba2 doon while i was posing for my lung pictorial! we had a little chat then i literally ran towards the door after… i wanted to head to the streets and have myself ran over by a route 8 jeep that time!! (or was it route 1? ambot!)…

after i got the results, i met with friends and had beer at the people’s park… it was so masa of us… we were with the whole davao population inside the park… para ngang premiere night ng movie nila kc n richard eh…

Beer napuslit namin sa entrance ang mga beer in can, nakita ng mga inspector pero di pumalag… nasita kami nung nasa na, nang nakita kami ng isang ungas na nag-iinuman sa may mga pine trees… sinungitan namin ung security, kasi ba naman pinagbintangan kaming  illegal puslit daw ung dala naming beer? umalis din sya after 5 mins of pa-cute sa amin…

Img00190so smile naman agad sina juna and may, after the kaba factor na makulong for drinking inside the park… in fairview to us, wala namang no food or drinks allowed inside na pinost eh… ang ipinagbawal lang ay mga bladed things and bomba…

dakara, i conclude na the last few days were fun… ima, i’m looking forward to sleeping over at ching’s crib on friday on my day off!!! yipee! miss the girl so much….

hisashiburi minna-san!!

it’s been a while since i last posted here…

now, i’m gonna start blabbing about the amazing opening ceremony of the 2008 beijing olympics being held in beijing, china right now… everyone cheers for their bets and everybody’s so excited to know who’ll bag the the most gold medals in the end!

we all know that an olympic event shouldn’t start without a dramatic opening ceremony… this time around in beijing, ‘dramatic’ was not even the word to describe the whole event… it was both earth-shaking and hair-raising! much like the catastrophe that happened in sichuan, china… but of couse, in the most positive side of it…

yes, words were not enough to express how grandiose everything came to be… the 2008 drummers who administered the countdown to the opening were my favorite… well, the torch lighting was also dramatic, to the point that i literally cried a few tears when the cauldron was finally lit… but of course, nothing beats the combined ancient chinese percussions and modern lighting system during the countdown — both in roman numbers and chinese characters… i can’t imagine how 2008 men could actually move in unison to create such fantastic performance…

the costumes… my gawd!! they were to die for… the silk dresses… eveything was (to quote Zohan) silky smooth! … the costume designs really showed how innovative the chinese are… the props used were also larger than life… the scroll and globe were very very very very impressive… everyone and everything are flying, jumping, walking, crawling, dancing, turning, and more!.

i was not surprised though when i knew that the renowned director, zhang yimou, was behind the huge production… for a moment, i thought: "isn’t it amazing to see a live crouching tiger, hidden dragon exhibition in front of millions of earthlings in one gigantic dome?"… honestly, this is my first time to see an olympic opening ceremony (full-length… well, not actually)… i was totally overwhelmed with joy… i may be over-acting but at that point when that former gymnast was skywalking towards the big olympic torch and was finally lighting it, i prayed and thanked God for giving me the chance to witness such spectacle…

for those people who were lucky enough to enter the bird’s nest at that ceremony, it must have been the happiest and most memorable time of their lives… i’m thinking specially of that person to get the last coveted ticket available before they announced they were all sold out the last week of july… i read over the internet that people were literally killing each other just to get hold of one… even i, just to get one, would actually gun down whoever comes my way!!! eheheheh… just joking!! i’d rather ogle on tv, i’d get a better perspective. coz, you know what, even if i did get a ticket, i still couldn’t go coz i couldn’t afford a PLANE ticket!! times like these, a kinton cloud would be useful… wahahahaha…

i am sooo envious with those lucky ones… personally, i believe that getting in would be better than getting married to your first love, better than being crowned as miss universe, or maybe even better than actually setting foot on the moon… i think, seeing people from 204 countries around the globe is like being ONE with the WORLD… it’s like conquering boundaries and uniting as brothers and sisters… no war, simply love and peace! ONE WORLD, ONE DREAM! GO PHILIPPINES!!

now, i compiled a few videos from youtube for you to see… the whole world must have seen them by now… but i think watching once would be such a disgrace… go on, feast on them!

Found this sumwhere. I love everything ing Japan!! Might as well learn lil stuff about their language. ‘thought this might make me sound kawaii!

1. Ka wa ii means cute.
But everything in Japan is cute. Use it for everything from clothes to mobile phones, to telling your friends how cute they are.

2. A tsu i means hot.
But it’s also used as a greeting in summer as Japan gets very hot! "Atsui" is a conversation starter used by everyone.

3. Sa mu i means cold.
Then after one week of nice weather in October everyone starts saying "Samui!" because it is so very cold!

4. Gen ki?
Genki is a really cool word meaning "active", "energetic", "full of life", but when used as a greeting it means "How are you?". The answer is "Genki desu!"

5. Na ni? means what?
If you didn’t quite catch something then you can say "nani?" and they’ll repeat it. Just like the English "What?" it’s not too polite, but it’s fine with people who aren’t too posh.

6. Ta no shii means fun!
You hear this everywhere, either as a question "tanoshii?" ("Are you having fun?" ) or answer "tanoshii!" ( "This is fun!) Very useful!

7. Omo shi ro i means interesting It seems that everything you do in Japan is either "tanoshii" for plain "fun" or "omoshiroi" if it’s interesting in the "That’s cool, I want to know more" type of way. Again, use as a question or answer.

8. Hon to means really
If a friend says they’ve just got a hot date, you simply say "Honto?" meaning "Really?". The answer is "Honto!" meaning "Yeah!". It can also be used in non-sarcastic ways.

9. Su ki means "like", and is pronounced similar to the winter sport. If you say it like a question, it means "Do you like this?". Your answer can be a "suki", meaning "Yes, I do!". Or try "karaoke, suki?" meaning "Do you like karaoke?" or "Sushi suki?" to mean…?

10. O i shi i means delicious.
If you taste something nice, either food or drink, simply say "oishii" to give it your seal of approval. You hear it at every meal and on every TV cooking show. Guaranteed to impress your hosts!

So there you go, ten funky words that will have anyone in Japan saying how wonderfully you speak the old Nihongo. Honto!

Things to mutter under your breath at annoying servers and people with single-digit I.Q’s

Sonna yarikata, dare kara kiitano?
Who told you to do it that way?

"Hoka ni jinsei no tanoshimi nai no?"
"Do you not have any other form of enjoyment in your life?"

"Ima no nani go?"
"What language was that?"

"Moshikashite, anatatte, baka?"
"Are you, like, maybe, stupid?"

"Hai, hai…"
"Whatever…"

"Sorehodo hima ja nai yo."
"I don’t have that much time on my hands."

"De, nani ga iitai no?"
"And, you point is?"

"Wakatte nai na…"
"(You) don’t get it, do you?"

Is that all you have to say?

"Mou ichido yarinaoshi!"
"(Let’s) try it again!"
"Hayaku nenasai!"
"Hurry up and go to bed!"

Hayaku kaette kite ne!
Hurry back!

Shikkari Tsukamatte!

Kekkon shiyou!
Let’s get married!

"Sorette, kudoite iru no?"
"Are you hitting on me?"

Hieta biiru demo nonde ikanai?"
"Won’t you stop and have a cold beer?"

"Hima?"
"Busy?"

Ima watashi no oshiri tsukamimashia?
Excuse me, did you just grab my backside?

"Yoiko no minasan ha zettai ni mane shinai de kudasai!"
"Don’t try this at home!"

"Hikkoshi no junbi de isogashii."
"I’m busy getting ready to move."

"Nanika ii goroawase ha nai no?"
"Isn’t there a good mnemonic for that?"

"Kotoshi no houfu ha, komame ni koushin suru koto desu."
"(my) goals for this year (New Year’s resolution) is to update frequently."

"Tama ni horidashi mono ga arimasu."
"Sometimes you find an unexpected bargain."

"Taishita koto ja nai yo."
"It’s not that big a deal."

"Kokoha chuusha kinshi desu."
"This is a no parking area."

"Kaori, Otanjoubi omedetou!"
"Happy Birthday Kaori!"
(Kaori is the Little Sister, for those of you who don’t know.)

"Sentaku shinakucha!"
"Gotta do the laundry!"

"Moushiwake gozaimasen ga, sono hi ha oheya no goyoui ha dekimasen."
"I’m sorry, but we cannot have a room ready for you on that day."

"Chikyuu ha hitotsu! Tataite wattara futatsu!"
"There is only one Earth! If you hit it and break it in half, there will be two!" (to be sung to the last part of the Gatchaman Theme)

"Sa…"
"Beats me…"

"Ima ikuyo!"
"Coming!"

"Ijiwaru!"
"Meanie!"

"Desho?"
"Don’t you think?"

"Kocho kocho!"
"Tickle tickle!"

"Watashi dake ja nakattan da ne!"
"So, it wasn’t just me!"

"Tsumannai!"
"I’m bored!"

"Shukiobi unten!"
"Drunk driving!"

(screamed by me after the third 15-hour workday in a row…)
"Mou Iya!"
"I can’t take this anymore!"

"Ha ni kuchibeni ga tsuite iru yo."

Xmasgirl_1 ‘thought of making a random list of ‘to do’ things for this year…

1. major renovation. new look — hair, make-up, nails, clothes. don a short hair, everybody wears one. try a product which can eliminate impurities on my face. fix my smile, always been my biggest insecurity. strut the streets in japanese street fashion. combination + layering + outrageous accessories = shibuya/harajuku style. i’m so excited!

2. shed a few pounds, trim 5-8 inches on my waist. i think i gained up to 6 kilos for the last 2 weeks. scary, i know.

3. eat healthy. i’m trying a veggies-only-for-dinner diet. and i’m starting to hate it. lettuce, carrots, cucumber, tofu, broccolli — too pricey for a minimum wager. pfff. fish is starting to taste like paper. i dunno what kind of food i should eat that won’t tire my taste buds. eating fruits also makes me poop more often. i can’t afford that if i’m working 10 hours a day coz i never like pooping in a public mess bowl. if u know what i’m saying… my new obsession is kimchi. yes, that spicy fermented chinese pechay/radish with an awful smell that koreans love. A P53/jar mixed kimchi is available at sm. u might wanna try.

4. go to the gym. found one with only P200/month registration. really nice. i’ll visit tomorrow, and i’m bringing my whole family. my job, taking calls, require less movement so i don’t get to exercise my heart and muscles. the only time i sweat is when i log out from work and it’s 10am, the whole world is already burning in heat. a lot of my workmates get sick and i don’t wanna be next. i’m anemic, but that could be helped.

5.  get a new phone. i have a slim black motorola phone that’s pawned to me by my neighbor. i want a slim black dopod flip phone. i don’t think it’s available in davao but i’m not in a hurry. i found a china-made phone with analog tv, mp3 player, camera, internet, and other messaging features. a friend owns one. funny thing about it is its extendable antenna, kinda like the rabbit antenna people use for their tvs at home. it’s cool thinking that i could actually watch marimar or maging sino ka man while waiting for a ‘trysikad’ if i’m out. haha, that’s as ‘masa’ as i could get.

6. buy a pair of nice rubber shoes. guess i’m the only girl in this side of earth who doesn’t own one. literally, honestly, embarassingly. and by nice, i mean a popular brand with a pretty price. gotta own one before i hit the gym!

7. learn nihonggo. i only know stuff like nani, nande, tadaima, ohayo, konbanwa, kakkoi, kawaii, kirei, omedetou, hajimemashite and other basic words. i want to be able to converse in straight jap. need to practice before i visit shun oppa in the land of the rising sun!! oops, oppa is korean pala…waaah, sorry.

8. get a new hobby, knitting or sewing clothes. i’m a frustrated fashion designer and i’m stitching my way to it!!!.

9. go abroad. dubai or sydney– God will decide. it’s gonna be tough but i’m determined! no offense meant to my motherland but there’s no hope here. i can’t settle with 5 digits, i need 6 or 7! too much bills and debts to pay. so sad to know that even my future greatgrandson is endebted to the US and other foreign countries even before their birth.

10. for this last, i’ve asked permission from my parents. tehee… kiss my first boyfriend. NBSB. i am very traditional when it comes to love but i don’t think i’m the kind to marry my first prince. however, i’ll be glad to actually explore the cheesy side of me. hhww? i know i’d be obliged to do that. i’m not that touchy, i also don’t like guys texting me, asking if i ate dinner already or if i’m doing fine or what. shit, it will be a big battle but i gotta be ready!!  (^_*)<333

i turned over the position as an sk chair last monday… and boy, was it overly dramatic… i cried bucket of tears!!… like a hundred bucketful of tears!!

okay, so that was quite lame… and yes, the tears — a lie… but i felt a bit sad though… i mean, where in the world could u find a job where u could just enter the office twice a month and yet you still receive a just compensation?! haha… okay, hold on your eggs! throw them at me later!

being a politician sucks… believe me… after 5 years of emotional and psychological battery, my 7500 a month salary wasn’t enough to cover the wounds that were lashed invisibly on my whole body… i was literally abused, starting that job at 15! whew, i saw monsters everyday… in fact, i’d rather have nightmares every night than spend a day in my barangay and face all those crude people who never once made me smile! public service?! wow, how fictional… i only did that on my first day… everything else followed was forced labor!

i had fun times but i can’t remember them anymore… i’m not trying to be bitter about this, but it’s just that i worry… things didn’t start well back there… though i know they’ll figure things… they must…

and so now i’m left with one job… i am not complaining… it pays big… but it’s draining as well… i just wish i could find a job somewhere else that i could actually enjoy… it’s a given that work is hard, but i don’t think i need to exhaust myself this hard at this age… i feel like i need to fly to a place where i could be free and not mind my problems and not hear about everybody else’s problems… i think i am being such a problem absorber right now… everyone around me tells me a lot of wrong things about their lives… the bad thing is that i end up wanting to solve their problems… i can’t even do it… it’s frustrating enough to handle my own, and listening to other people grieve about theirs is all the more saddening!

man, i need a break… i’m now gonna live life on my own… this is the end of it… i’m gonna start anew! i’m gonna start good! away from it all… just as i wanted.

Fruitbasket

september 22nd… 2:19 pm on the clock right now…

hmmm… what am i doing on my birthday? i’m eating chocolate ice cream and choco cake… alone… yes, i’m celebrating alone…

guess this is what happens when u’r a grown up already, u get to be on solitary mode on your most important day of the year…

haven’t seen my family since yesterday at noon… had to work from 8pm-6am and no one’s at home during the day… yeah, bad… but i know i have to get used to this set up… not that i need a grand celebration or something… don’t need any surprises or fancy shows…

i’m actually very independent… and i’m not into parties so that’s just fine… i hate being in a crowd… well, i love entertaining people but i don’t really have that much friends… drinking beer, sitting around — not my thing… i never really grew up with balloons and clowns when ‘my’ day comes… it’s either we have family dinner or go out for a movie… not really festive…

God, i expect people to at least give me something today… forget the greetings, i need cash or cute little things to make me feel important and loved even for a day…

wow… loved… don’t mistake this for some i-need-to-be-deflowered-asap drama… i’m definitely not looking for a boyfriend…  i want it, but not yet ready… hello, i’ve been a virgin for the 21st year today and i’m still loving and enjoying it… someone just told me that it’s time to get an exclusive man for myself… r u kidding me? just a few minutes after i heard that, i saw one workmate crying over a heartbreak… like bankerohan river flowing crying… i hate that… crying is one of my favorite hobbies, but that thing is just too hard to handle… i need maturity… i need to prepare my system… char lang, ironwood-siebel?!!! haha… sorry, call center agent mode gihapon ko… siyeeet! tech, can i hold u for a few seconds?!! i mean, put u on hold…ehehehe…

some people asked me for a birthday treat today… too bad i’m penniless as ever… i can only afford kwek-kwek for each… but they won’t accept so i’m not buying… ehehhe… saved my cents!
